Atta colombica workers quickly kill a larger Nomamyrmex esenbecki scout. Nomamyrmex army ants can be a major threat to Atta colonies, and so these workers will not hesistate in attacking and killing any scouts to prevent them from leading more army ants near the leafcutter colony.
