Atta cephalotes: Staring into the Depths

A lone soldier gazes placidly into the depths of the ant nest. You can clearly see the rough tufts of hair sprouting from her otherwise shiny forehead that identifies her as Atta cephalotes. This photo was taken at the Central Park Zoo in NYC, in New York.
