Why Verizon sucks
Verizon wants to control YOUR experience with your phone. Verizon is not for your freedom to explore options on the internet. It's not for your freedom to exchange music or games or apps with your buddies. Verizon is about sucking as much money out of you as it can.
How can I say this?
- Verizon disables all blue-tooth in your phones such that you cannot exchange any information with friends who also have bluetooth on their phones. No can do. No music exchange. No game exchange. No app exchange.
- Verizon does not allow you to download and run ringtones, Java games, and Java apps from the free web. You have to BUY everything from them directly. There is so much available out there that you can explore, and Verizon users are denied that freedom. Here's just one the many places non-Verizon users can go to download free stuff.
- The technology that Verizon uses (called BREW) is not compatible with the most popular technology out there, Java ME (J2ME). This means that there are many things that Verizon users cannot have access to because companies do not make a BREW-enabled version of their product.
For example, Google Maps can only run in Java-enabled phones, and will not work on Verizon phones!
So, you gotta ask yourself, do you REALLY want to keep being a CHUMP to Verizon?
